Garden Clubs in the Triangle

Garden Clubs, Plant Societies, Birding Meetings in the Triangle

Bluebirders of Wake County
Meets quarterly. Members are dedicated to bluebird conservation within Wake County, North Carolina. The club also works to conserve secondary cavity nesting wild song birds protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. The meeting is free and open to the public. Chapel Hill Garden Club
Meets the last Tuesday of the month at 10am.  Meetings include guest speakers.  Field trips to local gardens. N.C. Botanical Garden, Visitor Education Center, Chapel Hill.

Eastern North Carolina Iris Society
Meetings throughout the year, guest speakers, iris displays and sale. Guests welcome.

Gardeners of Wake County
Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm, except when they hold special events.  Refreshments, horticulture program. Guests welcome. Ruby C. McSwain Education Center, JC Raulston Arboretum, Raleigh.

Herb Society of Wake County

NC Gourd Society
The oldest gourd club in the country. For growers and crafters. All welcome. Four meetings per year, time and place to be announced on www.ncgourdsociety.org. Local groups meet more frequently for craft workshops such as birdhouses, planters, pocketbooks, lamps.

North American Rock Garden Society - Piedmont chapter
Meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month, 9:30 am/Social, 10am/Meeting.  September, October, November, January, February, March, and April. Meetings include a guest speaker and a plant auction. Guests $5. November meeting – Totten Center at the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill.  Starting in January 2010  meetings will be held in the Ruby C.

North Carolina Native Plant Society – Triangle chapter
Monthly nature walk, usually on Sunday, during the school year.  Meet at the Reid Garden to carpool at 1pm. Work day at the Reid Garden held on the second Saturday of the month, 9am-12noon.

Steel Magnolias Garden Club – Zebulon

Triangle African Violet Society

Triangle Camellia Society
