Raleigh’s Grand Gardens on Tour

If you have always wondered what the gardens are like at Raleigh’s beautiful inside-the-beltline homes now is your chance to peak behind the garden gates. The 2010 Raleigh Big Garden Tour, a prestigious tour of these private gardens, will be held June 19 from 9am-4pm and June 20 from 11am-4pm.  All proceeds benefit Raleigh Little Theatre’s year-round education and performance programs. Triangle Gardener is a sponsor of the tour.

Tour tickets are $17 each and include admission to the eight gardens for both days. Group prices (10+) are $15.

New this year is a special VIP tour of the gardens on Sunday, June 20 from 10:15am-3pm.  The tour will be lead by Helen Yoest a garden blogger, writer, garden coach and field editor for Better Homes & Gardens. The tour is limited to 24 people and includes breakfast, tour, special entertainment and a backyard barbeque luncheon. VIP tickets are $100 per person.

Begun in 1936, Raleigh Little Theatre is one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the country. It offers 11 productions each year, with more than 150 performances, along with education and community programs year-round.
